SUB 808-AS is a compact low-profile high-performance active subwoofer. It features two vented-loaded 8” cone woofers powered by a 2000 Watts two-channel amplifier -one for each woofer- on a baltic birch plywood cabinet painted with black or white polyurea and weatherproof treatment. Management and tuning are available via RDNet software. The cabinet features rubber feet on two sides and two threaded pole-mounts for horizontal and vertical placement. Two stabilizing brackets make the vertical placement stable and firm. SUB 808-AS can be used stand-alone, in subwoofer arrays, or as the low-frequency complement for KX 515-A speaker.

    The high-powered Class-D amplifiers, tailored for each transducer, deploy pristine sound with efficient heat dissipation at the lowest possible distortion, along with low power consumption. High-end AD/DA conversion up to 96 kHz - 32-bit floating-point, and onboard DSP for the best sound quality. Thanks to the proprietary RDNet networked management and control, every KX speaker provides in-depth remote monitoring through multiple sensors. The system engineer has immediate feedback of transducer status, fan speed, temperature, VU meters, limiters and much more.

    Legendary woofers

    RCF subwoofers are the first choice of many sound engineers, thanks to the very high SPL levels at very low frequencies, smaller dimensions compared to others in its category. Self-powered design, RDNet remote control, easy configuration of subwoofer arrays (i.e. cardioid subs), and impressive size/weight to SPL output ratio create an engaging, immersive experience for any audience.

  • Tour Ready Construction

    Attached to a solid machined aluminum structure on the rear panel, the amplifier ensures efficient heat dissipation. The enclosure is internally reinforced and sturdy, equipped with waterproof powerCON® TRUE1 TOP mains connectors, guaranteeing durability under any outdoor conditions.

  • Bass Motion Control

    When searching for an extended bass with enhanced performance, RCF engineers found a way to remove the high-pass filter, replacing it with a forward-thinking approach. Introducing BMC (Bass Motion Control), the newly advanced woofer excursion management feature. The speaker equipped with BMC can handle the lowest audible frequencies without affecting the woofer stability, with extended linearity and better sound integrity. The BMC method works by creating a complete map of the dynamic behavior of the woofer, to generate a custom algorithm that only limits over-excursions. This gives total freedom of signal reproduction to the transducer. When high-pass filters normally protect the woofer motion from becoming destructive but change the phase behavior, the new BMC algorithm breaks conventional rules.
