A dual 70V/25V transformer dial lets you set each speaker to 32W, 16W, 8W or 4W, or use the 8-ohm setting. Being able to set the wattage speaker by speaker matters in commercial installs where many speakers run on a single amplifier. A 70V line reduces power loss from cable heating because the speaker cable carries the audio signal at low current. The result is sound that travels long distances with very little power loss and sound degradation.

An 8" polypropylene woofer with a rubber surround delivers smooth low and mid frequencies, and a 1/2" PEI dome tweeter keeps highs and vocals crisp. Frequency response is 35Hz - 20kHz, sensitivity is 89 dB (1W/1m) and power handling is rated at 120W.

Do I need an amplifier?

Yes. The ACE800ST is a passive speaker. Use a 70V or 25V commercial amplifier with the transformer taps, or set the dial to 8 ohms for a standard amplifier.

Can I paint the grille?
