Sound for terraces, gardens and pools that covers every seat evenly at a gentle level, stands up to the UAE climate, and stays inside your boundary.

What is outdoor sound?

Outdoor sound is about coverage, not power. Open air has no walls to hold sound, so one loud speaker is too loud nearby, too quiet far away, and easily heard next door.

  • Even sound from the terrace to the pool
  • Many quiet speakers, not one loud one
  • Built for sun, humidity and dust
  • Sound that stays inside your garden

Outdoor in brief

Several small speakers, close to where you sit and aimed back at the house, give even sound at a gentle level and keep it inside the garden. They are built for sun, humidity and dust, and they sit quietly among the planting.

How it works

Sound that stays in the garden

One loud speaker fills the terrace and still reaches next door. Several quiet ones cover the garden and stay inside it.

Worked out from published specifications and standard sums for sound. A guide to how a room behaves, not a measurement of yours. Sound is shown as one note, slowed about 150 times, so you can see it move.

  1. 01Each circle shows how far a speaker carries before it falls to a quiet conversation.
  2. 02Four speakers, aimed back at the house, share the work and need far less power.

What makes outdoor sound work

  1. 01

    Many speakers, low level

Sound fades fast outdoors. Several quiet speakers close to you give even coverage that a single loud one never can.

  2. 02

    Built for the climate

Sun, humidity, sand and irrigation are hard on equipment. Speakers are chosen for the weather, and amplifiers stay indoors.

  3. 03

    Zones you control

The pool, terrace and lawn can each have their own level, so a quiet dinner and a party can share one garden.

  4. 04

    Respect for the boundary

Speakers aim back at the house, and bass stays away from the wall, so your music doesn't become next door's.

How we do it

  1. 01

    Walk the garden

We mark where you sit and where the neighbours are.

  2. 02

    Plan the coverage

Speakers are placed close to the seating and aimed back at the house.

  3. 03

    Run the cable

Cable goes in before planting or paving where possible.

  4. 04

    Set the levels

Each zone is set by ear, at the seats and at the boundary.

Built for heat and sand

We specify speakers rated for sun, humidity and dust, and place them for even sound at a moderate level.

Questions

5
Will it survive the summer?

We only install outdoor speakers rated for the Gulf climate, and service them yearly.

How do I avoid disturbing the neighbours?

Use more speakers at a lower level, keep them close to the seating and aim them away from the boundary.

Can the speakers be hidden?

Yes. Rock-style and in-ground speakers sit among planting, and pendants can hang from a pergola.

Do I need a subwoofer outside?

Open air has no walls to hold bass, so one helps for music. It is also what carries furthest, so we place it with care.

Can sound reach the pool?

Yes. Give the pool its own zone, so it can be quieter than the terrace or off altogether.

Three ways to build it

Real products from our catalogue, as a starting point. Every system is then adjusted to the room.

  1. Terrace

Two weather-rated speakers around the seating.

  2. Terrace and lawn

A larger pair, a second zone and a small amplifier indoors.

  3. Whole garden

Rock speakers, an outdoor subwoofer and a matrix amplifier.
