Overview

Some amps sound fine until the scene gets demanding, then they fold like a lawn chair.

The XPA-7 is a seven-channel power amplifier built on our XPA Gen3 modular platform, made to keep your speakers clear, controlled, and confident when movies get loud and music gets dynamic. It is also built to order, which makes sense for an amplifier platform designed to be more flexible and system-specific than a fixed one-size-fits-all solution.

Connect it to an AV processor, preamp, or an AV receiver with preamp outputs (XLR or RCA jacks usually labeled “PRE OUT”), and it delivers clean, high-current power with more headroom and grip than most all-in-one solutions can. Its Class A/B output stage, regulated switch-mode power supply, and modular design help it stay composed now while giving your system room to grow later.

Common uses:

• Power a surround system with real multi-channel headroom

• Take the strain off your receiver

• Build toward Dolby Atmos or DTS:X over time

    Modular Design, More Flexibility

The XPA-7 seven-channel power amplifier is built on our XPA Gen3 modular platform, so it is not just a fixed seven-channel amp. It gives you serious home theater power today on a platform designed to expand or reconfigure later as your system changes, and each one is built to order for the configuration you choose.

    Seven Channels for Home Theater

We built the XPA-7 to power the seven main channels in a surround sound system with more control, clarity, and composure. It is a strong fit for 5.1, 7.1, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X systems where clean dialogue, dynamics, and channel separation matter.

  • Class A/B Sound, Real Headroom

    Class A/B Sound, Real Headroom

XPA Gen3 pairs fully discrete Class A/B amplifier modules with a regulated switch-mode power supply and Soft-Switch Optimized Class H operation. In real-world terms, that means clean detail, strong dynamics, and the kind of headroom that helps your system stay calm when big scenes hit hard.

    Easy System Integration

Connect the XPA-7 to an AV processor, stereo preamp, or an AV receiver with preamp outputs, then choose balanced XLR or unbalanced RCA on each channel. That makes it easy to add serious amplifier power without rebuilding your whole system.

    Built for the Long Run

Protection is audiophile-grade and out of the way during normal listening, yet ready to guard your gear from common faults. A resettable rear-panel circuit breaker shields against AC issues. And with our full five-year warranty, your XPA-6 Gen3 is set for the long haul.

Note
The values shown refer to the amount of power the amplifier would consume while playing test tones continuously, on all channels, at full power, into a load bank. Therefore they are not at all characteristic of what you would expect when playing music or the sound track from a movie. Normal audio signals are dynamic, so the amount of power they require from second to second varies widely, and the average is far lower than this. With normal content, even playing very loudly, one of our amplifiers will consume far less power than indicated in the chart, so these values should not be considered to be a circuit requirement for normal operation.
