Overview

The XPA HC-1 is a single-channel (monoblock) power amplifier designed to drive one speaker with high output and strong control. It delivers 300 watts RMS into 8 ohms and 600 watts RMS into 4 ohms, which makes it a good match for speakers that need more power, or systems where you want more headroom and lower distortion at higher listening levels.

It uses a fully discrete, dual differential, short signal path Class A/B amplifier stage with Emotiva’s Optimized Class H power supply topology and a high-efficiency audiophile grade SMPS. Inputs include selectable balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, and the speaker outputs use gold-plated 5-way binding posts. Protection is microprocessor-controlled for temperature, shorts, and other common fault conditions, and the front standby halo and status LED can be dimmed or disabled.

A trigger input and output make system integration easy, and universal AC operation from 100 to 250 VAC with a standard IEC inlet means it works worldwide and supports most aftermarket power cables.
